About Pongstats
Pongstats shows what the usual results sites do not: trends over the years, how clubs evolve and a personal profile for every player.
Where does the data come from?
From TabT, the system the KBTTB (VTTL and AFTT) and Sporta run their leagues with. The Ppong API keeps a copy and updates it every day. The same data is public on the federations’ own sites.
How does the rating work?
Every player starts at the value of their ranking (NG 1000, each ranking step 100 more, A 2700). After every game the winner goes up and the loser down, more so the more surprising the result. At the start of a new season the rating moves a quarter of the way to the new ranking. So you see form before the ranking changes.
What does ‘expected’ mean?
How many games you would win if only the rankings counted: one ranking step is a 64% chance to win, four steps 91%.
Privacy
We only show what the federations publish themselves: name, club, ranking and results. No birth dates or contact details. On purpose, there are no national top lists of players. Rather not be on Pongstats? Let ppong know: you disappear everywhere, including from other people’s lists.
Made by ppong
Pongstats is a ppong.be project. The data comes from the Ppong API.
No top lists of players: we only compare within a club.
